A serial killer has been hit with his fourth life sentence for murdering a prostitute with a gunshot to the face. Victorian Bandali Michael Debs had previously been convicted for the murders of two police officers, one of whom was wounded then executed as he lay on the ground. The 58-year-old was sentenced on Friday in the NSW Supreme Court for the murder of Donna Anne Hicks in western Sydney in April 1995. The 34-year-old mother-of-three was shot dead and left in long grass near a quarry wearing nothing but a dog collar. DNA was matched to Debs from swabs taken from Ms Hicks, who was last seen getting into a vehicle that matched Debs' Holden Rodeo utility. Justice Robert Shallcross Hulme said Debs had no possibility of rehabilitation. "The prisoner's actions lead inescapably to the conclusion that he is, and will remain, a danger to the community," Justice Hulme said in his draft judgement. "Its only protection is to have you locked up for the rest of your life." Debs, a father of five, was a tiler by occupation and has been in custody since 2000 for killing the two police officers. He is serving a life sentence for the shooting murders of Sergeant Gary Silk and Senior Constable Rod Miller at Moorabbin in Melbourne's outer east in 1998. He shot them after they pulled his car over, finishing off Sgt Silk with gunshots to his pelvis and head. He's also been convicted of murdering 18-year-old sex worker Kristy Harty, who was shot at close range, in a similar manner to Ms Hicks. The teenager was found in bushland at Upper Beaconsfield, southeast of Melbourne, in 1997.
