President Asif Ali Zardari will reply to a plethora of attacking speculations about his health and government in his major speech on the fourth death anniversary of his spouse, Benazir Bhutto, falling on Dec.27.As the president returned from Dubai after 12-day treatment, he is living in Karachi, holding official meetings, to give the impression that he was now much better and in a position to resume official work.During his meeting with top government and party leaders, he discussed his Dec.27 speech.Zardari will stay in Karachi for more days, from where he is expected to fly to Larkana, to address a grand public gathering at Garhi Khuda Bux on Dec.27.Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal will also address the gathering.Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, who is provincial chief of ruling PPP, says Zardari will unveil his political strategy through his public speech.Meanwhile, The New York Times (NYT), one the famous media houses in America, reported that Zardari may have come back to Pakistan only for a ‘cameo appearance’ for the death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto and ‘then go on permanently to London or Dubai.’In a report on the political situation in Pakistan, the Times quoted some Pakistani and western officials as saying that Zardari’s return could be only for a cameo appearance before Dec.27, the fourth death anniversary of Bhutto.“After that, Zardari will probably leave for a long - perhaps permanent - convalescence in London or Dubai,” the officials said.
