Serie A strugglers Lecce have appointed Serse Cosmi as their new coach after sacking Eusebio Di Francesco. I Salentini dismissed Di Francesco in the wake of Saturday's 4-2 defeat at Napoli that left the team bottom of the Serie A standings. Lecce, who have claimed one victory in their last 11 games, confirmed in a club statement: "Lecce announces it has parted company with Eusebio Di Francesco. The club also announces it has reached an agreement with Serse Cosmi to coach the team." The 53-year-old Cosmi had been out of a job since being fired by Palermo earlier this year after less than three months in charge of the Sicilian outfit. Cosmi's first game will be against Lazio on Saturday.
