A.J. McCarron's two first-quarter touchdowns Saturday set the tone for No. 2 Alabama's 41-14 pasting of eighth-ranked Michigan. McCarron finished with 199 passing yards. True freshman T.J. Yeldon racked up 111 yards and a touchdown for the defending national champion Crimson Tide (1-0). Alabama put the game away early, amassing a 31-0 lead in the first half. Denard Robinson was limited to 11 completions in 26 attempts for 200 yards with one passing touchdown and one rushing score for the Wolverines (0-1). Michigan was without tailback Fitzgerald Toussaint, who was serving one-game suspension after a June drunken driving arrest.
