Colin Edwards will make his MotoGP return from a broken collarbone during this weekend's Catalan Grand Prix. Edwards was injured after being hit by Randy de Puniet's fallen Aprilia in qualifying at Estoril on May 5. The former World Superbike champion subsequently underwent surgery, but will be back on his Forward Racing Suter-BMW in Barcelona. “I'm excited to come back, I'm probably not 100% yet. I was actually thinking of riding here at the boot camp this past weekend but decided to give it a rest for a few more days. I got the staples taken out last week. “I've been swimming a lot these last few days and it feels good, I have full movement and it doesn't hurt. I would say I'm at about 90% right now. Looking forward to this weekend.” Edwards was replaced by Chris Vermeulen for the previous Le Mans round. One of the team's main goals for this weekend is to further develop the new electronics used by Vermeulen in the wet French event. Edwards was the top CRT rider during round one in Qatar, but has not scored since. The Texan broke his right collarbone in practice at Catalunya last year.
