Ismaily have agreed to extend the loan of their midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou to Saudi giants Ittihad Jeddah, if they pay $1 million for the next 12 months. A statement on the club’s official website said that Ittihad Jeddah enquired about keeping the 27-year-old Egypt midfielder for another year and that Ismaily made an official reply. The Africa Cup of Nations 2008's 'most valuable player' joined the Saudi league in February. Commercial football matches have been suspended in Egypt since the Port Said stadium disaster on 1 February, which left 73 football fans dead and hundreds injured. The former Strasbourg player scored four goals in 12 appearances for the Saudi champions during his short spell. Ittihad Jeddah made their formal bid upon request of coach Raul Caneda, who wants to keep his inspirational midfielder in the squad. From/ahramonline
