
Five time major winner Phil Mickelson is looking for a new teacher after breaking up with longtime swing coach Butch Harmon.
The 45-year-old Mickelson told Golf.com that the separation was amicable.
"I've learned a great deal from him in our eight years together," Mickelson said. "It's just that at the moment I need to hear new ideas from a different perspective."
Mickelson won 12 tournaments, including the 2007 Players Championship, 2010 Masters and 2013 Open Championship during his time with Harmon.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed working with Phil and we've had great success together," Harmon said. "Helping him win the Open Championship in 2013 was one of the pinnacles of my career."
The 2013 Open Championship is Mickelson's last win in a major.
