Egypt will hold a training camp in Alexandria starting on Thursday before the team kicks off its World Cup qualifying campaign against Mozambique on 1 June, state-run news agency MENA revealed on Wednesday. The Pharaohs, under the guidance of American coach Bob Bradley, will arrive in Cairo on Wednesday after finishing their training camp in Sudan, where they won two friendlies after defeating Cameroon 2-1 and Togo 3-0. The Egyptian team is supposed to take on Malawi on 27 May behind closed doors at the Egyptian army-owned Borg El-Arab stadium in Alexandria, but they are waiting for the approval of the security authorities. The seven-time African champions are also preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) qualifiers as they will take on Central African Republic in June. From/ahramonline
