A Spanish eBay user expressed his disapproval of his regional government by putting the body up for sale on the Internet with a $1.35 starting bid. The satirical posting, which rose to a high bid of $4,851 before it was removed by eBay, offered the Valencia region Parliament "in good condition," adding the sale of the government was "urgent," TheLocal.es reported Wednesday. The poster said the auction would include "gifts" such as failed regional saving bank CAM and the soon-to-be-defunct RTVV government television station. Valencia is the most heavily indebted region in Spain, with the debt measured at 29.4 percent of its gross domestic product as of September.
