
A senior Iranian diplomat underlined the necessity for the further expansion of ties between Tehran and Beijing, and said Iranian companies are ready to cooperate with Chinese businessmen, specially in export of agricultural products. Iran's Commercial Attaché in China Massoud Kamali Ardakani said Iran is considered as one of the top producers and exporters of different agricultural products, including pistachio, date and saffron. He stressed that the Iranian companies were ready to cooperate with Chinese businessmen in the field of agricultural products exports. Kamali Ardakani made the remarks on the sidelines of the 5th Asia-Pacific Wholesale Market Conference held in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Northwestern China. Several business officials from 20 countries including Iran, Turkey, Australia, Poland, Island, Sri Lanka, Spain, Chili, Bosnia and Herzegovina took part in the two-day event which wrapped up on August 14.
