
The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) Chairman Mohammad Omran left here for Dubai where he will be a key speaker in the regional Initial Public Offering (IPO) Conference that is organized by Bloomberg.
The largest regional financial and investment institutions will be attending the conference, where Omran will illustrate the EGX experience during the recent period to increase the number of listed companies and the approach towards executing the maximum number of IPOs despite the difficult economic conditions the world is recently witnessing.
A statement released on Tuesday said EGX has provided funding for companies of about LE 20 billion since June 2013
The statement said EGX has facilitated procedures and provided friendly environment for investment, a matter which is the main reason for increasing the number of listed companies and Initial Public Offerings
EGX statement said the coming period focus is to provide funding for public sector companies, private and massive national projects, and to support small and medium enterprises
