Samsung sees 25% rise in tablet sales in Q3

Samsung Electronics Co., the world's largest smartphone maker, saw a big jump in sales of its tablet PCs in the third quarter narrowing the gap with industry leader Apple Inc., data showed Tuesday. The South Korean tech giant's tablet shipments reached 10.5 million in the July-September period, compared with the 8.4 million tallied in the previous quarter, according to the data by Strategy Analytics.
