
Telecom Egypt Company has signed a new agreement with the National Bank of Egypt whereby it renovates the bank's computer system and online service. The new optic fiber technology network will allow the bank to upgrade its internet service to a new speed of up to 10 gigabites per second. The agreement asserts the company's commitment toward the Egyptian market to provide the fastest and most secure communication services based on international standards of quality, Telecom CEO Mohamed el-Nawawi said Monday. The National Bank of Egypt is highly interested in renovating its infrastructure as part of an ongoing reform process that started in 2008, bank's Board Chairman Hisham Okasha said.
