
Zain Telecommunications Company announced on Wednesday it had signed a partnership contract with Huawei Company specializing in technology and communications, in order to provide customers in the region with the newest technologies. Zain said in a press release that the contract came as a result of the increasing investments supporting smart networks in the Middle East. Chief Executive Officer of Zain Group Scott Gegenheimer noted that the contract comes as a result of long years of cooperation between the two companies. Huawei President in the Middle East Shi Yaohong said that the networks and communications sector is evolving rapidly, adding that developing these services depends on customers' needs and feedbacks. The Middle East has the fastest growing information technology and communications market in the world. The money spent on the infrastructure of information technology is expected to reach USD 192 billion this year, with Saudi Arabia on top of the list. Huawei covers third of the world's populations, cooperating with 45 telecommunications companies out of 50 of the superior companies in the world.
