
Two people were killed on Saturday due to the collapse of an under-renovation historical building, Kuwait Fire Service Directorate announced. In a press statement, the fire department said that the building is run by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL). Rescue and medical teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident and tried to retrieve the dead bodies that were under the debris of the collapsed wall. Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah and Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) Chief Major General Yousef Al-Ansari and other security officials were at the scene of the accident.
