Bahrain culture minister receives Swiss honorary chargé d'Affaires

Minister of Culture, Shaikha Mai bint Mohammad Al Khalifa, today received the Swiss Honorary Chargé d'Affaires Humbert Buemi on assuming his new post. The meeting discussed bolstering joint cooperation at both culture and tourism levels, in addition to key cultural topics in Bahrain. Culture Minister congratulated the Swiss Honorary Chargé d'Affaires on assuming his new duty in Bahrain, stressed the importance of activating joint cultural exchange, outlined Bahrain's celebrations under the theme of (Year of Art 2014), praising Swiss cultural production. She underscored the importance of upgrading and investing the local environment as tourist attraction and the government's intensive efforts in this field. Swiss Honorary Chargé d'Affaires confirmed the importance of mutual cultural exchange among nations, commending the Bahrain's cultural experience and its importance in introducing the old civilizations, expressing keenness to establish cooperation and organize joint cultural projects in line with the activities of Year of Art 2014.
