
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah both attended the Fourth Popular Heritage Festival at the Sheikh Sabah Cultural Village on Wednesday. Upon their arrival, they were received by Amiri Diwan Minister Sheikh Naser Sabah Al-Ahmad and Amiri Diwan Advisor Mohammed Sharar. An opening ceremony of the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Cultural Village followed the welcoming. Afterwards, the dignitaries took a tour of one of the venue's chambers, Al-Barthan Hall, which houses objects linked to a number of professions assumed in the pre-oil discovery era of Kuwait. Also attending the event was National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, His Highness Sheikh Naser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, sheikhs, ministers, governors and senior military, police and National Guard officers. In a speech at the event, His Highness the Amir welcomed the attendees, whom he said illustrated the unity between the nations of the Gulf. Later, President of the Fourth Popular Heritage Festival, Anwar Al-Rifai, commended the Amir's decision to open the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Cultural Village. The event included a parade of camel and horse riders, a display of falconry, a traditional dance and recitals of traditional Bedouin poetry
