The Nelson Mandela Foundation said on Thursday that it received a 50cm tall statue of Mandela donated by a Russian artist. The statue was made by Alexander Taratynov, said Peter Goosen, South African Ambassador to the Hague who presented the statue to the foundation. The brass statue resting on marble seat shows Mandela in contemplation. It will join in other collections at Nelson Mandela Center of Memory in Horton showing Mandela's life story. The statue donated on Thursday is the replica of the one situated at the International Court of Justice in the Hague. The ambassador later joined other visitors to view Mandela's collection of history.
