UNESCO offers $100,000 to re-build Islamic Art Museum

Egypt's ambassador to UNESCO Mohamed Sameh said on Friday that the UN-supported organization will provide Egypt with 100,000 dollars to rebuild the Islamic Art Museum and restore its items. UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova has issued an official statement condemning the terrorist attack that targeted the museum earlier today. She also voiced concern over the destruction of thousands of priceless artifacts in the museum. Sameh conveyed Bokova's condolences to the Egyptian people for this terrorist attack.
