
Transport Minister Galal Saeed met Tuesday with his Sudanese counterpart Makkawi Awad.
The meeting took up the outcome of meetings of the joint technical committee and the committee of senior officials at the transportation sector, which were held on October 2-3.
This came as part of preparations for the joint higher committee meetings between Egypt and Sudan on Wednesday.
The meeting tackled progress made as part of promoting cooperation between the two countries in the transportation sphere.
Regarding the road transportation, the Egyptian side said that they are about to finalize measures related to launching direct bus lines between Cairo and Khartoum and between Aswan and Khartoum.
