Egypt's Ambassador to Palestine Wael Nassr on Tuesday met Palestinian Minister of Education and Higher Education Sabri Saydam.
The meeting dealt with ways to boost bilateral cooperation in various education fields, increasing scholarships provided for Palestinian students in Egypt and the effects of the Rafah crossing's closure on the Palestinian students abroad.
Nassr affirmed Egypt's keenness to develop relations with Palestine in the field of education, and the Egyptian government's intention to increase scholarships provided for Palestinian students in the country.
Egypt is carrying out a survey of Palestinians' needs in this regard, the ambassador said.
An Egyptian committee discusses the possibility to deal with Palestinian students like their Egyptian colleagues at Egyptian universities, he added.
The ambassador also promised to develop special arrangements to make it easier for Palestinian students to travel via Rafah crossing.
