Agriculture Minister Essam Fayed had a meeting with his Cypriot counterpart Nicos Kouyialis on means of promoting bilateral cooperation in fish farming.
The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the National Company for Fisheries and Aquaculture Maj. Gen. Hamdy Badin and a number of agriculture experts.
During the meeting, Fayed said that the Egyptian government and political leadership are keen on expanding cooperation between Cairo and Nicosia at all levels.
He added that they agreed on taking all necessary measures to establish a partnership in fish farming and implement a national project for olive trees.
An Egyptian-Cypriot company will be established to implement what has been agreed upon by the two sides, Fayed said, adding the partnership agreement will be signed by the end of November.
