El Tayyeb praises historical relations with Kuwait

Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed El Tayyeb Sunday underlined the depth of the historical relations among Al Azhar and Kuwait, praising efforts exerted by Emir of Kuwait Sabah al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah in supporting Arab solidarity.

This came as el Tayyed received Newly-appointed Kuwaiti Ambassador to Egypt Mohamed Saleh al Zuwaikh at the headquarter of Al Azhar in Cairo.

During Sunday's meeting, el Tayyeb congratulated al Zuwaikh on his new post, wishing him success.

Meanwhile, the ambassador expressed appreciation for al Azhar's role in spreading Islam's moderate teachings, as well as hosting Muslims form across the globe to study at its varied faculties. 

Earlier this month, ambassador al Zuwaikh described relations between Egypt and Kuwait as historic and deeply-rooted.
