
Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr held a meeting with Shinichi Kitaoka, President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), to discuss funding the fourth line of Egypt's subway.
The project is funded by Japan with an amount of 393 million dollars.
Nasr chairs Egypt's delegation at the meetings of World Bank in Washington.
In a statement on Friday, Nasr and the Japanese official agreed to provide Egypt the second batch designated to finance the project.
Nasr said that the governor prioritizes the project of Great Egyptian Museum, which will provide job opportunities, increase Egypt's revenues and have a positive impact on the Egyptian economy.
Nasr stressed the importance of concerted efforts in the field of renewable energy, mainly the solar power.
The Japanese official voiced JICA's readiness to support Egypt in this respect.
