
International Cooperation Minister Sahr Nasr met with the Chairman of the Egyptian-American Enterprise Fund (EAEF) James Harmon on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the World Bank in the US capital Washington.
Nasr leads the Egyptian delegation participating in these meetings.
Harmon welcomed Nasr, stressing the the depth of the strategic relations binding the two countries.
He further said that the EAEF is funded by the US economic aid program to Egypt and aims at supporting the small and medium enterprises.
The minister underlined that the small and medium enterprises represent a priority for the Egyptian government to achieve economic development.
Nasr stressed the importance of ongoing coordination between the Egyptian cabinet and the EAEF to make sure that the enterprises funded by the EAEF fulfill the needs of the Egyptian people.
The two sides discussed backing the youth who have new ideas as the EAEF targets supporting the small enterprises to increase investors.
The minister pointed out that the Egyptian government launched an economic developmental program that puts into consideration all the social aspects of the Egyptian brackets and aims at achieving sustainable growth.
