Petroleum Minister Tareq el Molla discussed on Friday with Chairman & CEO of the Apache Corporation John Christmann and his deputies Stephen Riney and Timothy Sullivan the company's activities in Egypt.
Apache vice president and general manager in Egypt Thomas Maher also attended the meeting.
The two sides discussed activities of Apache's joint ventures with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC); Qarun Petroleum Company (QPC) and Khalda Petroleum Company (KPC).
The US delegation's visit to Egypt reflected the company's trust in the investment climate in the petroleum and gas sectors in Egypt, the minister said, underlining that the company allocated one billion dollars for investments in the fiscal year 2016/2017.
Apache Corporation is a petroleum and natural gas exploration and production company headquartered in Houston, Texas.
