
Qatar's Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al -Thani participated in the joint meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) with US Secretary of State John Kerry today in Manama, in preparation for the US - GCC summit to be held in Riyadh on 21 April.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between the GCC countries and the United States within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two sides. Discussions also dealt with and the results of the working groups at the GCC-US summit , which was held in May 2015 at Camp David, as well as the latest developments particularly in Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Libya, besides efforts to combat terrorism and regional and international issues of common interest.
Qatar's delegation to the meeting included HE Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs, and a number of officials at the Foreign Ministry.
