
Transport Minister Galal Saeed met Wednesday with Singaporean Minister of State for Trade and Industry Koh Poh Koon to discuss cooperation in the field of transport and investment opportunities at Egyptian ports, especially in Alexandria and Damietta.
Egypt is seeking to benefit from Singaporean expertise in operating ports and logistics centers, Saeed said.
He made it clear that the Ministry will be putting up for investment a number of logistics zones in the 6th of October City and Borg el Arab.
The Singaporean minister expressed willingness to share his country's success story in running ports with Egypt.
He hailed as "promising" economic growth opportunities in Egypt, especially in the fields of infrastructure and services.
