
Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui met here today with Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs who is currently visiting Tunisian as part of an Arab Maghreb Tour.
During the meeting they discussed developments in the region as well as the various challenges and issues facing the Islamic nation. The two sides also discussed views on the various regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Jhinaoui confirmed Tunisia's keenness on the enhancement of relations of cooperation and understanding between regional states and principles of good neighbourliness and non-intervention in internal affairs of other countries.
He also pointed out that his country attaches great importance to maintaining security and stability in the Gulf as part of the Arab region's peace.
