
Ambassador of the UAE to Tanzania Abdullah Ibrahim Al Suwaidi met with Tanzanian Minister for Health, Community Development, Gender, the Elderly and Children Ummy Ally Mwalimu, at the Ministry in Dar Es Salaam.
The minister thanked the UAE leadership for helping Tanzania in various spheres and, in particular, for funding an initiative to provide free surgeries in the country.
Tanzania is in dire need of such initiatives which ease the suffering of patients, she noted, and expressed the hope these initiatives would be permanent.
The UAE will not stop to launch humanitarian initiatives, the ambassador stressed.
He thanked Minister Mwalim for her hospitality and warm welcome.
