Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi received on Tuesday at his residence here UK Ambassador to Yemen Edmund Fitton-Brown.
The meeting took up means of boosting bilateral cooperation, as well as the latest developments in Yemen, the Yemeni state-run news agency reported on its website.
What the militias committed Monday at a market in Taiz, Hadi noted, is a heinous crime which proves to the world that those criminal militias are still far away from peace as they chose to kill people and besiege cities.
Monday's attack at an overcrowded market left dozens of women and children dead and injured, the Yemeni leader said.
Meanwhile, Hadi lauded stances adopted by the UK at the UN Security Council to support Yemen.
The British ambassador, for his part, said that targeting civilians is rejected and that the attack that occurred in Taiz is slammed by the UK government and by the whole world.
