Syrian regime forces bombarded Damascus countryside

Al-Bokamal city witness the continuation of the military operations for the second day in a row, where the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and Arab nationalities have re-entered the city, which is the last city in the Syrian territory in which the “Islamic State” organization is present.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of clashes between them against members of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in the eastern, western and southern parts of the city, in an attempt of by the regime forces to achieve an advancement and go deep in al-Bokmal city, and expel the organization of it.

These violent clashes are accompanied by intensive artillery and missile shelling by the regime forces on areas controlled by the organization and its locations, in conjunction with bombing by Russian warplanes and regime’s warplanes on areas in the city and its outskirts, and confirmed information about casualties in the ranks of both parties.

Sources monitored tens of airstrikes by warplanes, amid artillery and missile shelling on areas in the Ghouta which is besieged by the regime forces, where the violent clashes continue between the regime forces, supported by their Syrian and non-Syrian loyal gunmen against fighters of the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham, in areas in the Vehicles Department and its outskirts, amid desperate fighting by the regime forces trying to advance and re-control the points they lost to the Islamic Movement.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring renewed bombardment on the Eastern Ghouta, where the warplanes area carried out a raid on area in Mdira town which caused the injury of 5 civilians, and the warplanes carried out a raid and targeted an area in Arbin city which injured a woman, also warplanes carried out 4 raids on areas in Harasta city which caused the injury of 6 persons, the warplanes also carried out 2 raids on areas in Douma city which killed 3 citizens and injured 10 others.

Raising the death toll to 19 civilian citizens including 6 children and 2 women, they are 7 including 5 children and a woman were killed in shelling by the regime forces on areas in Douma city, 3 members of civil defense were killed in bombardment by warplanes on areas in Douma city, 3 citizens were killed in shelling on areas in Arbin city, 3 citizens were killed in another bombing by warplanes on Douma city, and 3 citizens including a child and woman were killed in raids on Harasta city, and the aerial bombing has also injured about 62 citizens, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation.

In the same context, Syrian regime’s helicopters dropped again barrel bombs on areas in the southwest of Rif Dimashq on Kafr Hor village, which is located in the circle besieged by the regime forces in Rif Dimashq, which caused material damage, but no information about casualties.

Areas in Hosh Hajju village in the northern countryside of Homs were shelled by the regime forces, which caused material damage but no information about casualties, while the regime forces targeted using heavy machineguns areas in al-Mahatta village, in conjunction with targeting it with shells, no information about casualties.

In Aleppo, areas in al-Zerba town in the southern countryside of Aleppo were shelled by the regime forces which caused material damage, without any information about casualties, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published in the past hours that the regime forces shelled areas in Abu Ghennah village in the southern countryside of Aleppo, no information about casualties while warplanes bombed areas in the villages of al-Rashadiyah and Ramlah in Jabal al-Hess in the southern countryside of Aleppo, no information about casualties, also a bomb exploded in al-Bab city in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo which injured 5 children.
