Nearly three dozen Taliban militants have been killed during series of operations across Afghanistan over the past 24 hours, the country's Interior Ministry said in a statement released here on Tuesday.
"A total of 35 armed Taliban fighters have been killed during military operations in Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Ghazni and Paktika provinces over the past 24 hours," the statement asserted.
Eight more militants have sustained injuries and nine others arrested by the government forces, the statement contended.
However, it didn't say if there were casualties on security forces. Taliban militants haven't made comment.
