Five people died in a fire, which broke out in the village Shumash in the Ryazan Region, the main Ministry of Emergency Situations’ department in the Ryazan Region reported on Sunday. The call about a fire breaking out at a one-storey residential house came at 00:40 Moscow time on Sunday to the regional emergency situation centre. “When the first fire truck arrived the fire has spread on a wooden house and the roof,” the emergency situation department said. The fire was localized at 01:09 Moscow time and it was liquidated at 01:32 Moscow time. Five people were found dead in the cleanup of the debris at the fire site. They are being identified. Twenty people and seven units of machinery were involved in the fire-fighting efforts. The reason for the fire and the damages are being looked for.
