At least 25 killed in Peru bus crash

At least 25 people were killed and six were injured Saturday when a bus ran off a road and into a river in La Libertad, UPI quoted Peru police as saying. The Andina news agency reported police said there were 43 passengers on the bus when it left the road at about 4:10 a.m. while en route from Cajabamba to Trujillo, La Repubica said. One police officer was injured during a rescue operation and was taken to a hospital in Otuzco province, the report said. The bus plunged more than 650 feet, police said. Three doctors, one nurse and an undetermined number of teachers were reported to be among the dead
