
Death toll of floods which hit southeast France rose to four with two people were still missing in Var department, the prefecture said on Friday.
In a statement posted on its website, the prefecture said a 35 years old woman and a man were found dead earlier in the day after floods caused by torrential rains struck the region.
Another woman died late on Thursday after rising waters swept her car in La Londe-les-Maures village.
Reported missing since Thursday, a second woman was found dead on Friday morning. Her eight years old girl and an adult were still missing, the communique added.
Meteo, France meteorological service forecast, said 7 departments in southern France are put under orange on predicted rains and floods till Saturday 16:00 local time (1500 GMT).
