
The death toll of the Norman Atlantic ferryboat, which caught fire in the Adriatic Sea as it was sailing from the Greek port of Patras to the Italian port of Ancona, rose to 10.
Another Greek citizen, who was among the killed in this tragic incident, was identified, Greece's news agency reported, citing the Greek and Italian authorities.
At least 40 people, including 32 Greek passengers, are still missing, the agency said, adding that about 425 were rescued.
There were at least 499 people including illegal immigrants on board, 425 of which were rescued, 10 dead and 40 missing, it said, adding that medial teams and the Greek authorities provided assistance to the survivors.
There were about 230 passengers and 34 others of the ferry's crew from Greece on board, while the rest of passengers were from Italy, Turkey, Albania, Germany, Britain and other countries.
