A murder-suicide in Darien, Ill., in which four members of a family died, has DuPage County authorities seeking a motive, they said. The county coroner's office determined a man's wife and daughters were shot to death in homicides in the Chicago suburb Tuesday, after which the man killed himself. David Andrus, 50, shot his wife Jeana, 48, in the basement of their home before going upstairs and shooting daughters Jessica, 22, and Jennifer, 16. He then took his own life, the Chicago Tribune reported Thursday. His wife and daughters were each shot in the face, and Andrus shot himself in the head, a statement by DuPage County Coroner Richard Jorgensen said. Although a motive has not been determined, a spokesman for Andrus' employer, Willowbrook battery management product manufacturer Midtronics, said Andrus had been fired from his job. A law enforcement source said Andrus was fired on suspicions he stole from the company, the newspaper noted.
