
At least 30 people were killed and many others injured after two buses collided head on in north-western Bangladesh on Monday, police said.
Twenty people died at the scene of the collision, which took place on the Dhaka-Rajshahi highway in north-western Natore district, 140 kilometers away from the capital Dhaka, dpa reported.
The remaining 10 victims died at a nearby hospital, police official Munshi Shahabuddin said, adding that 25 people injured in the accident were being treated there.
The cause of the incident was not immediately clear and the government launched an investigation.
