A young Utah man died last weekend when he slammed into the ground while swinging from a 140-foot-high rock formation, authorities said Monday. The Grand County Sheriff's Office said Kyle Stocking, 22, of West Jordan was killed about 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the popular Corona Arch near Moab, The Salt Lake Tribune reported. Sheriff's Lt. Kim Neal said the "length of rope to swing from the arch was miscalculated and when [Stocking] swung under the arch, he struck the ground ... receiving fatal injuries." Stocking was with five friends when the accident occurred, the Tribune said.
