
Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the follow-up of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation, the foundation has sponsored the mass wedding of 400 Palestinian brides and grooms in the Gaza Strip.
An official source at the Khalifa Foundation said that the wedding, which was held under the title, "Gaza rejoice" in the west of Gaza, is considered as the largest mass wedding in the Strip, pointing out that thousands of Palestinian citizens expressed their happiness and joy at this important event, especially as it is came in difficult circumstances as experienced in the Palestinian territories.
The grooms expressed their joy in this great event and praised the UAE's assistance which came under the guidance of the wise leadership of the UAE that has enabled many of them to achieve their wishes. Their parents also have expressed their thanks and appreciation for the UAE and to the Khalifa Foundation and expressed their deep happiness to marry their sons and daughters in this mass wedding.
The ceremony was attended by a number of dignitaries and media representatives.
