Figures released by France's Statistics Institute Bureau Insee on Thursday showed stable inflation rate in June for the third consecutive month.
Last month, "the drop in manufactured product prices has been offset by a seasonal increase in prices of services which occurs usually before the summer holidays," the agency said.
Over the period, a 1.5 percent-drop in clothing and footwear pulled down manufacturing costs by 0.4 percent due to "a time lag in the price collection calendar, which included a higher number of days during the summer sales in June this year than last year," Insee said.
Thanks to seasonal price increases at the beginning of the summer holiday, those of services, including transportation and tourism costs, rose by 0.2 percent while costs of food and energy fell by 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent respectively.
On yearly basis, the consumer prices index grew by 0.5 percent, its lowest level since 2009.
