
Korean shares recovered the 2,000 mark on foreign purchases, according to Korea's (KBS WORLD).
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 18.84 points, or 0.94%, on Tuesday to close at 2012.72.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ slipped 2.35 points, or 0.42%, to close at 559.15.
On the Seoul foreign exchange market, the local currency lost 9.2 won against the US dollar to end the day at 1027.4 won.
