
Qatar Exchange index closed marginally down by 7.62 points (-0.06%) to 12,376.62 when trading closed here Thursday afternoon.
The trading value today was QR 888,370,279.51 with a volume of 16,170,623 shares from 7,334 trades compared to QR 949,798,799.93 with a volume of 25,428,160 from 10,172 trades Wednesday.
Industrial sector index made the best gains today, up 1.27%, followed by transport (+0.58%) and insurance (+0.20%).
Banking and financial sector went down marginally by -0.43%.
From the 43 listed companies, 20 made gains, 19 went down and four remained unchanged.
Zad Holding Company led gainers, up +6.59 to QR 82.50 from the previous day's QR 77.40. Qatar Cinema and Film Distribution Company continued it good run, gaining +6.17% to close at QR 52.50 from the previous day's QR 49.45.
From industrial sector, The Investors Group gained substantially, up +6.95% to QR 55.40 from the previous day's QR 51.80.
Ezdan Holding was the day's biggest loser, down -5.38% to QR 21.30 with a volume of 2,257,980 shares from 816 trades.
